Kathy is a marketing communications strategist and senior communications leader. She brings more than 35 years of experience in global and domestic branding and public relations, with a concentration in life sciences and healthcare. Her specific areas of expertise include corporate relations, media relations, issues management/crisis, product and portfolio communications, and internal communications.
Kathy has developed and directed award-winning programs across a broad range of therapeutic categories, specialty areas, and technologies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries on behalf of many Fortune 500 companies including Novartis International AG, Pfizer Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Genentech, and Boehringer Ingelheim. In this capacity, her role often starts at the clinical trial recruitment stage, involves taking products from pre- to post-launch, and helps to maximize mature brands. Additionally, Kathy works with startups across many verticals, launching them out of stealth and taking them from preclinical through to IPO and beyond. She also has extensive experience in reaching patients and advocates working with leading professional and patient organizations.
Prior to launching her consulting practice, Kathy held senior positions with numerous global communications agencies and previously served as an Aide to the Governor of New Jersey. A native speaker of Belarusan, she has used her additional language skills in French, German, Polish, Russian and Ukranian as a translator.
Kathy graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history. She volunteers her time with several organizations including The Union Rescue Mission of Los Angeles. A hiking enthusiast, Kathy is also a passionate equestrian who competes throughout the year and is a member of several professional equestrian associations.
